Our History

Beaufort Interiors was established in October 1981.  The business started when Ruth Wilson began making curtains, and quickly gained a thriving customer base. The curtains were initially made in an upstairs spare room, in what's now the Beaufort Interiors spectacular award-winning showroom. Although the workrooms have since expanded and relocated several times, the focus of our craftspeople and technical staff has remained as the production of high-quality bespoke window dressings and soft furnishings. 
The iconic building in Moira was purchased in 1989. For ten years (2002-2012) Beaufort displayed contemporary designs in a Belfast showroom on the Lisburn Road, before consolidating in the Moira headquarters, and extending the property there to include both classic and contemporary styles. In 2016 Beaufort opened its first London showroom in the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour - renowned for its exclusive interiors and luxury fabric houses.
